Pennies from Heaven my ass....

....I'll nickel and dime ya. Work went okay today. Nothing too strenuous or exhausting. Some punk kids (roughly in their 20's) were real generous today when they decided to leave me pennies, nickels and dimes for my tip, when their bill was over $40. Assholes like that make me want to spit in their food ahead of time, or at least throw the change back at them as they are leaving the parking lot.

Two bible thumpers were my customers as well, wanting to know if there was anything I needed them to pray for while I was getting their food. "Hmmm, yeah, how about for you guys to leave like a $5,000 tip?" They were okay, and I had to be super nice to them because they were from one of the ass managers churches.

Speaking of which, that particular ass manager (and that's no typo, they are ass managers) scares the shit out of me, and it's not simply due to the fact that I'm afraid she might want to eat me or other servers some day. (She weighs, oh let's say, roughly 400 lbs.) She is just one of those really "I'm always right, you're always wrong buddy" dipshit kinda people. She likes to think she can intimidate people because of her position at the business, but I have none of it, and neither do many others. Also, due to her Gigantor-esque proportions and lack of any college education, she has one of those attitudes of "So I don't have any hint of being sexually attractive or desirable to anyone on this planet, but I don't care, because I'm just happy being an asst. manager and I have all I need with my friends and my chocolate cake, so fuck 'em all." More or less, she likes to act like she's pretty important, but I think she's only relevant in keeping the hinges on her fridge in working order.

The lack of a full-time dishwasher scares me some. Not only because the only guy that they can con into coming in during peak times on the wknds is some crazy half-ass, but because of the ramifications of such problems. Because there is no said full-time dishwasher, this means that the servers and cooks end up having to wash the dishes when they can or when there's a need (ie, running out of silverware, which happens quite a lot). So, the same people that are cooking and bringing people their food, also just got done washing some other people's disgusting leftovers, trash and garbage off of plates. Mmmmmmm, yummy! I have no clue why some big int'l corp like AB can't figure this out, because even the mensa people running Country Kitchen had that figured out. Oh well. Just something to consider the next time you eat there.
